NORTH MANKATO -- On Thursday, a Mankato woman led North Mankato Police on a slow-speed pursuit in the morning and now faces two criminal charges, including a felony. Just before 8 a.m. Thursday, an officer tried to pull over a driver but the driver didn’t stop, just kept going. The driver continued to drive at slow speeds despite sirens and lights on the squad car during the pursuit, according to police. Other assisting officers tried to box the car in twice on Lor Ray Drive but the driver drove around them and through a nearby church parking lot then fled at low speeds to U.S. Highway 169 onto the Riverfront Dr. exit  west into Mankato. They eventually pulled over on the 100 block of Moreland Ave. Ellen Koenigs, 55, was booked into Nicollet County Jail to face charges of felony fleeing police and misdemeanor driving after suspension.
