State Reps Brand, Frederick and Senator Frentz Town Hall Meeting Eagle Lake

EAGLE LAKE -- State Representatives for District 18 Jeff Brand and Luke Frederick and Senator Nick Frentz visited Eagle Lake on Wednesday, January 17. The event started at 6:30 p.m. and concluded after 8 p.m., where citizens of the district had the opportunity to discuss local and state issues with the two representatives and one senator.

The district includes Mankato, Saint Peter, Eagle Lake, Nicollet, Courtland, Lafayette and New Sweden communities. Pension funds, schools and a water treatment project in Eagle Lake were among the topics addressed by Frentz, Brand and Frederick. The funding for the proposed $48 million Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) crime lab in Mankato was also discussed at length.

Eagle Lake Mayor Lisa Norton said there was a large turnout and was appreciative for the candidates' visit. All seats in the room at Eagle Lake City Hall, where the event was held, were filled and there was standing room only.
