School Board Tallies Final Referendum

Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) families, including Hoover Elementary in North Mankato heard partial results in the referendum questions yesterday. Superintendent Paul Peterson made the announcement via email.

"I am pleased to share with you that voters in Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) have approved the $105 million bond referendum (Question 1)," Peterson's email read. "Official results will be posted in the coming days, but the unofficial vote count has made it clear that Question 1 has passed.  Question 2 on outdoor activity spaces did not pass."

The board released a statement about the referendum the same day.
