Olympian Diggins to Keynote Save Boundary Waters Gala Up North

(Minneapolis, MN) — Save the Boundary Waters is thrilled to announce that Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion cross-country skier Jessie Diggins will be the keynote speaker at the organization’s highly anticipated annual gala on May 2. Diggins also recently won the 50th annual American Birkebeiner, or “Birkie,” race in Wisconsin. Diggins, originally from Afton, Minnesota, has a deep personal connection to the Boundary Waters, making her a passionate advocate for its preservation.

The event is expected to draw over 400 Boundary Waters supporters, including local businesses, conservation groups, youth, nonprofits, and individuals. Guests will have an opportunity to hear from Save the Boundary Waters leaders, meet Jessie Diggins, enjoy live music, indulge in delicious dinner and drinks, and participate in both silent and live auctions—all aimed at raising essential funds to support the ongoing fight for the permanent protection of the Boundary Waters.
