NICOLLET — Nicollet Boys Basketball team faced off against Sleepy Eye in what turned out to be another nonconference game loss so far in the season for Nicollet. The final score was 79-55, favoring Sleepy Eye, as reported by the New Ulm Journal Friday.

Sleepy Eye's coach attributed the win to a balanced offense with lots of passing game and plenty of rebounds that gave the team a 24-point lead in the end. Sleepy eye continues a streak with six wins before their holiday break, their coach had added in the interview. Isaac Lendt score 21 points for Sleepy Eye's Indians while Henry Oscarson had 13 for the Raiders.

Sleepy Eye has a 6-1 record while Nicollet so far struggles to pick up some momentum at 0-7. The Raiders hope to pick some up some of that momentum when they host Madelia on Tuesday, January 4. There are both varsity and junior varsity games that evening.
