Commissioner Scott Winschitl Votes Against Surveillance Cameras Purchase

NEW ULM – There was one voice of dissent at Monday’s October 17 Board of Commissioners meeting for Brown County in New Ulm over the purchase of a pole camera for law enforcement in the Sheriff’s Office. 

There were several questions about the purchase from all commissioners at the meeting, but Winschitl was concerned about abuse. 

“This has big brother written all over it,” Winschitl said. “You aren’t going to be Sheriff forever.”
